If you have not already done so, please complete and submit the Online Inquiry Form. This will add your family to our mailing list to receive admission information and invitations to school events. Families with more than one child interested in applying should submit a separate online inquiry for each child.

We have begun our third round of the admission process, and the next application deadline is May 31, 2023.

There are limited spaces available in most grades; however, our need-based equitable tuition funding has been mostly exhausted, and we will not be able to provide large amounts of need-based aid in our spring and summer process.

Domestic Applicants: Please follow this link to complete our online application through Ravenna Solutions. When you arrive at the page you will be asked to create an account. Once an account is created, you will be able to look up Derryfield in the “School Directory” and complete the application. For any technical questions about Ravenna, please contact them directly by following the instructions on the login page.

Homeschool Applicants: Please download our Guidelines for Homeschool Applicants to understand these unique requirements.

International Applicants: Derryfield works directly with an agency for students from China or elsewhere in Eastern Asia. If you are applying from one of these countries, please contact New Oasis International Education before starting an application. If you are applying from outside of this territory, please click on the link below to complete our international student online application through Ravenna Solutions.

Standardized Test Scores: The SSAT is an optional component of our admission process this year. The Derryfield School will offer SSAT testing on campus in the months of October and January. A student who does not provide an SSAT score will not be penalized in our process. In lieu of (or in addition to) the SSAT, we encourage families to share other testing results (SAS, NWEA, iReady, etc.).

BOOK AN INTERVIEW

An interview is a required part of the admission process and families currently have the option of scheduling an on-campus interview or conducting the interview via Zoom. Applicant and parent/guardian interviews are separate and each lasts 30 minutes.

Those who choose to come on campus will receive a student-led campus tour and also have the option to spend a full day at school or simply come for the tour and interview. Those who choose to do a Zoom interview will not have the ability to select an on-campus full day visit until admitted student days; however, they are encouraged to come to our in-person Open Houses in November or January.

Prior to your interview, please create a Ravenna account and begin the parent application as outlined in Step 4 below. You are not required to complete the application before your appointment, but getting started helps us to keep track of your application status!

NOTIFICATION

Each year, the Admission Office publishes decisions on Ravenna on March 10 (for applications submitted by February 1). Admitted students have until April 10 to submit enrollment contracts and tuition deposits. Admitted students will have the opportunity to attend re-visit events before they must decide (admitted student days are in early April after our students return from spring break).

After February 1, completed applications will be reviewed and considered as quickly as possible. Decisions will be communicated personally and released on Ravenna when ready. If admitted, students in the rolling admission process have two weeks to formally enroll.
